What lodging options do you offer?
We offer cabins, trailer sites, and outpost camps for rental.
What cabin sizes are available?
We have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom cabins available for rental.
How many people can stay in each cabin?
1BR: 2 guests · 2BR: 4 guests · 3BR: up to 6 guests comfortably.
Do trailer sites have electrical hook-ups?
Yes — all trailer sites have full hook-ups with up to 30-amp service.
Are there washrooms at each site?
Each cabin has a private washroom with shower. Free showers & washrooms are available for trailer guests.
Is there a laundry facility on site?
Yes, there is a laundromat on the premises.
Can we cook in the cabins?
Yes — all cabins include full cooking facilities.
Is bedding and kitchenware provided?
Cabins come fully equipped with bedding, towels, dishes, and other essentials.

Can extra guests stay overnight?
Yes. Additional overnight guests: Children $5.00/day · Adults $10.00/day per person.
Are day visitors allowed?
Day visitors are welcome with a day pass. Overnight stays: Adults $10 · Children $5.
Is there a lights-out policy?
We do not enforce a lights-out policy.
Is housekeeping available?
Towels and sheets can be replaced upon request during your stay.
Where do we park?
You can drive right to your cabin or trailer site — no backpacking required.
Are valuables safe at the resort?
We have not had problems with valuables in locked cabins and trailers. Keep all units locked when you are away.
Booking & Rates
Reservations, deposits, check-in times, and cancellation policies.
How early should I book?
Book as early as possible. Lakefront cabins fill up very early in the year — first come, first served.
Is there usually a waiting list?
Some weeks book up early. We strongly recommend reserving as early as possible.
Is a security deposit required?
$200 for cabins · $50 for trailer sites. Deposits are non-refundable and must be made to hold your reservation.
Are fees in Canadian or US dollars?
All rates are posted in Canadian dollars.
Do you offer extended stay rates?
Yes — extended stay is subject to availability. Please contact Redden's for rates.
What is the refund policy?
Late arrivals and early departures are charged at regular rates. All deposits are non-refundable.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in after 3:00 pm CST · Check-out by 11:00 am CST.

Do I need an SUV to get to Redden's?
No — a regular car is perfectly fine to access Redden's, our cabins, and trailer sites.
How far is Redden's from major cities?
9 miles east of Kenora · 140 miles east of Winnipeg · 120 miles north of Fort Frances/US Border.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Redden's has a diner on site. Kenora is only a 15-minute drive with a wide variety of dining options.
Are there grocery stores nearby?
Our general store carries basic grocery needs. Larger stores (No Frills, Safeway, Walmart) are in Kenora.
Do US visitors need a tourist visa?
US citizens and green card holders do not need a visa, but a valid passport is required to enter Canada.
Store & Services
On-site store hours, licenses, and what you can pick up before heading out.
What are the store hours?
Open 8:00 am – 10:00 pm, May Long Weekend through September Long Weekend. Winter hours vary.
Where can I get a fishing license?
Fishing licenses can be purchased online. We also have a bait and tackle shop in our store.
Are there vending machines when the store is closed?
No vending machines, but the store is open until 10:00 pm nightly. 24-hour options are available in Kenora.
Do you sell souvenirs?
Yes — a variety of souvenir items are available in our camp store.
Is alcohol available on site?
We have a licensed liquor and beer outlet on site. The legal drinking age in Ontario is 19.
Can I get a receipt for a GST refund?
Yes — receipts are available upon request.
Outdoors & Activities

What watercraft rentals are available?
We rent canoes, rafts, paddle boats, and boats with motors. See our rates page for pricing.
Do you offer guided fishing trips?
Yes — we offer guided fishing trips and photography tours. Contact us to arrange.
Are there fishing catch limits?
Yes — daily catch limits apply. See our regulations page for full details.
Is there a fish-cleaning service?
We don't offer cleaning services, but we have a fish-cleaning house available for all guests.
Is there a beach or playground?
Enjoy our sandy beach, small playground, and water slide — great for families with children.
What else is there to do in the area?
Kenora is 10 min away with 18-hole golf, museums, dinner cruises, shopping malls, and Rushing River Provincial Park nearby.
Safety, Health & Other
Weather, bugs, medical services, packing tips, and operating season.
What is the weather like?
Weather varies by season. Check the Weather Network for the Kenora, Ontario forecast before your trip.
How are the bugs?
Mosquitoes and black flies are present in summer. We keep the camp well-manicured. Bring insect repellent.
Is there a lifeguard at the beach?
There is no lifeguard on duty. Parents must supervise children in and around the water at all times.
Are medical services available nearby?
Kenora District Hospital is approximately 20 minutes away. We can handle minor first aid on site.
What should we pack?
First aid kit, flashlights, fishing gear, bug spray, sunscreen, warm and cool clothing, rain jacket, and board games for rainy days.
What is your operating season?
Redden's Camp & Store is open May through October. We do not offer winter accommodations.
